About our speaker:
Dan Mathews is the co-host of The Sean Salisbury Show on SportsTalk 790 (your homer for LSU Football on the radio in Houston!). Even though Dan didn’t go to LSU, he has grown up his entire life as a Tiger fan. His love of the Tigers started all the way back in 1997, when he was in Omaha watching the Tigers win the national title with Brandon Larson, Eddy Furniss and company.
Dan remembers the first time he went to Tiger Stadium and when his Dad, Gary, pointed up his old dorm room inside LSU’s home football stadium. At least a couple of his summers were spent at the old Alex Box Stadium, where he furthered his love of baseball, by attending Skip Bertman’s baseball camp.
During Saturday’s in the fall, you can count on seeing Dan dressed in purple and gold. Like you, he lives and dies during LSU football season. In the springtime, he’s watching Lyn Rollins and Ben McDonald call Tiger baseball games.
